Data & Insight Sales Specialist – German speaking

Our Data & insight Sales specialist team enable our customers to analyse how companies are performing, from the critical financials to corporate structure, management, and unstructured data; creates peer benchmarks to serve a variety of use cases. Our content combines public company and private company financials, estimates, transactions, relationships, industry classifications, people and ownership data linked through our cross-referenced security and entity master file that provides clients with an extensive, consistent, and standardized foundation for mapping any data sources.

CIS encompasses Proprietary and 3rd party datasets that can be used with corporate and financial data to generate insights. Additionally, CIS leverages the collection of Kensho analytical tools that can be combined within existing datasets or enabled as standalone products. Within our D&I division, our product suite coupled with our ESG, Pricing and Valuation services as well as Equities dataset to create a potential for product integration and unparalleled innovation.

The Role:

In this role, you are growing the D&I business as a sales specialist focusing on our Datafeed, desktop CapitalIQ and ESG solutions portfolio. You can diagnose client requirements and with your business development and Product partners, translate this into a solution-focused, workflow centric offering, often combining various solutions and data sets to match client requirements.

The team will reach across all account’s segmentation (Strategic/Core/Primary) specifically focusing on financial institutions, corporate and technology/advisory services to offer a broader perspective. We are looking for individuals who are driven, focused and spirited sales specialists that can execute and deliver new business revenue whilst investigating a renewal book of business with a growth mindset. An excellent role for someone with an entrepreneurial, growth and forward-thinking mindset. The right candidate will undoubtedly grow professionally and personally in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver New Business Sales for the product portfolio (all D&I, Kensho services and third-party alternative data sets)

  • Investigate and grow renewals across the D&I portfolio and be responsible for the value proposition of the business as well as grow the existing book of business across renewals, greenfield, whitespace.

  • Access whitespace to grow your own portfolio and the D&I book of business.

  • Develop industry specific knowledge necessary to have credible diagnostic conversations.

  • Work closely with your business development/Product Specialist to identify new opportunities, new use cases within the designated territory and evolve pricing models.

  • Establish appointments with senior level executives of these organizations.

  • Stay current with industry news and issues to understand the potential impact to your current prospects to find new opportunities.

  • Prospect, diagnose, coordinate, and provide solutions presentation.

  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing.

  • Maintain a focused approach to daily sales activity pipelines and systems-based workflow (i.e. Salesforce.com)

  • Engage and collaborate with other Market Intelligence segments to guarantee the best client experience in team selling to all accounts in conjunction with the relationship manager in existing accounts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Independent, self-starter capable of working without close supervision or daily guidance.

  • Strong business acumen with relevant industry experience and a consistent record in consultative sales

  • Team player with an ability to collaborate across functional and geographic boundaries.

  • Experience selling complex data and/or technology solutions to financial institutions and/or Corporates.

  • Confidence in approaching new markets, navigating, and owning a territory and dealing with C-Level executives.

  • Strong communication, fluent in German and English.

  • Organization, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • At least 5 years of Sales track record.
