The Impact:

This is a highly collaborative, business savvy role for a marketing professional who has experience in building and executing marketing programs that drive business impact. You will be responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined strategy that drives growth for the domestic China business - S&P Global China Ratings. You will report to the Head of Asia-Pacific Marketing Planning.

The Team:

You will be part of the Global Marketing team within the Commercial organization at S&P Global Ratings.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with China Marketing team to develop and establish the strategic go-to-market and product marketing launch plans tied to business goals for mainland China, and be accountable for execution and meeting these goals

  • Partner with Sales to ensure positive impact of China marketing plan

  • Work closely with Ratings Analytical teams to understand market interest and develop content assets relevant to the market

    • Work closely with Global Sales Enablement, internal - external Creative teams to develop tools and resources for the China Sales team to progress prospects
  • Be the expert in identifying the most effective channels, creating targeted and segmented programs and linking programs for full effectiveness in achieving objectives

    • Plan, execute and measure marketing and communication programs and activities to generate demand, engagement and help strengthen the S&P Global China Ratings brand. Tactics include online and offline marketing channels such as:*

    e-campaigns, webcasts or events

  • Responsible for coordinating with various internal and external parties to create, maintain and improve the website, focused on driving web traffic, reducing bounce rates and generating demand

  • There will be an emphasis on the execution of digital & social marketing, including hands-on webpage production & optimization, Baidu SEO & SEM, e-mail campaigns and marketing database management

    • Accountable for tracking spend by program - activity for China and manage the allocated budget
  • Ensure activities are completed on time and performance measured, and be able to articulate the measures in marketing reports as they relate to business goals

    • Understand and navigate Salesforce to understand the progress of a program from a sales perspective. Includes pipeline development, pipeline acceleration, close - won ratios etc.
  • Work closely with internal communications to keep key stakeholders up-to-date on individual programs and activities. Attend and actively participate in regular regional meetings as required

    • Create messaging - copy in Mandarin and execute across full range of marketing platforms, including posting on social media such as WeChat

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years of B to B marketing experience in China

  • Experience in web production and hands-on experience with web content management system

  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry in general; debt capital market a plus

  • Knowledge of sales tech and marketing automation tools such as Salesforce and Marketo a plus

  • In-depth understanding of and experience with WeChat is a must

    • Proven ability to design and implement integrated multi-touch programs including the creation and marketing of content assets along with a problem - solution approach, such as bringing a product to launch
  • Expertise in balancing the desires of the stakeholders with the needs of the Ratings business and the specific objectives associated with the broad marketing strategy and specific marketing programs

  • Collaborative presence and not afraid to roll up sleeves

  • Experience within complex matrix structure often involving global stakeholders in various functions

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese mandarin and comfortable communicating at different levels

  • Attention to details, excellent organization and planning skills with an ability to manage multiple projects, delivering each on time

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office programs ( Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, Adobe Acrobat)

  • Bachelor s degree required
