Technical Applications Specialist, Enterprise Technical Engineering

We are seeking an expert Technical Applications Specialist to join our global Enterprise Technical Engineering team in Centennial, CO. This team partners with Datafeed Application Specialists, Product Development, Product Management and Sales Teams to provide quality technical assistance to our external Enterprise Data Delivery Solution customers. This includes client-site environment sizing, product deployment, configuration and performance tuning.


You will contribute to customers, the team and company in meaningful ways. Being integrated into a group with high expectations, you will focus on quality user experiences and will make a significant impact with your technical skills. You are essential as the link between the end-user and our Enterprise Data Delivery Products - Solutions. Combining expertise in our product and content offerings with a deep understanding of our customer profiles and target markets, you will act as a consultant providing the best and most efficient ways for our customers to use our tools to achieve quality results in integrating our data into their internal workflows.

  • Work on building complex SQL queries for our data and assist clients with query tuning and performance improvements

  • Research and gain knowledge on the rapidly evolving product offerings

  • Assess the technical environment dynamics within client sites that may impact product performance

  • Involved in product strategy, roadmaps and user-acceptance testing

  • Client-side solution deployments, implementations, upgrades and migrations

What We re Looking For:


  • Engineering or Bachelor's - Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent is helpful

    • 2 to 4 years technical product support experience

    • Software configurations & deployments

    • Client support and technical sales experience

    • Superb interpersonal skills (verbal, written and presentation)

    • Proven technical troubleshooting skills

    • Operating Systems & Environments

  • Windows Administration - Security

  • Proxies (HTTP - FTP)

  • Networks - Firewalls

  • RDBMS Administration knowledge - experience

    • Good knowledge on RDBMS concepts

    • Advanced SQL query skills

  • Experience with Cloud Environments (AWS, MS and - or Google)

  • Solid knowledge of AWS (EC2, RDS - Aurora) environments -Required

    • Sizing, configuring & standing-up (deploying software and databases) in AWS
  • System Resources (Configuration & Performance Tuning - Monitoring)

    • RAM

    • CPU

    • IOPs - Storage (HDD & SSD)

    • Solid Windows and Linux system knowledge

  • Command line - scripting

    • Network & Security Protocols (Web Sockets, TCPIP, SSL, TLS, etc.)

    • FTP Proxy Protocols (SOCKS4, SOCKS5, HTTP, Custom, etc.)

    • Self-starter with ability to grasp new technologies

    • Demonstrated troubleshooting, follow-through and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail and quality

    • Ability to keep pace with rapid changes in evolving technologies
