TheTeam:

Our legal department is comprised of attorneys and non-attorney professionals who support the division s commercial organization, product development - technology functions and business management - leadership.

The Impact:

You will work closely with the Chief Privacy Officer and members of the Legal department to prepare legal advice and conduct regulatory research and analysis. Additionally, you will perform legal analysis of requests for information, and other similar legal support functions. Review and draft responses to internal and external data protection inquiries. Uses discretion and independent discernment in the application of privacy and data protection laws and regulations. Assists in providing advice and counsel involving legal and regulatory issues of varying levels of complexity. Supports the company in legal disputes, lawsuits, regulatory and governmental matters, and analytical processes and business transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading discussions, analysis, and resolutions related to the implementation of data protection controls, both domestically and internationally.

  • Interacting with, and resolving, data protection issues across all business functions, affiliates, subsidiaries, and acquisitions internationally.

  • Assisting in the creation of training materials and corporate correspondence.

  • Providing support to global company and its affiliates. May be responsible for securing, preparing, drafting, and processing legal and regulatory documents.

  • Providing support for resolution of day-to-day matters including general research, regulatory responses, regulatory outreach management, and regulatory examination management.

  • Drafting legal correspondence to external and internal data protection inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Assisting in privacy and data security matters, to include coordination with outside counsel to obtain legal advice.

  • Identifying problems and supports the solutions based on practices, existing precedents, or procedures.

  • In conjunction with the Privacy Center, working with national and international regulators and monitoring regulatory changes that may affect the business

  • Working within own team and interacts with other teams.

  • Contributing to the achievement of Legal team objectives.

Requirements:

  • Ability to handle high volume work flow.

  • B.A. final or near to final required

  • Experience in a top tier law firm or corporation in the area of practice.

  • Professional, highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others.

  • The highest level of discretion, sensitivity and integrity in handling confidential information.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to multi-task and handle deadline sensitive assignments.
