The Role: Operations Analysis Specialist

The Team: The OSTTRA Technology team is composed of Capital Markets Technology professionals, who build, support and protect the applications that operate our network. What’s in it for you:

We are looking for self-driven individuals with great problem solving and analytical skills to fill an Associate position within the Operations group. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day customer support for all services supported within MarkitSERV ’s suite of products (MarkitWire, Markit Trade Manager, TradeServ etc.). The position requires the incumbent to focus on OTC and derivatives products rollout to new participants.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to be part of an agile team based out of India, collaborating with colleagues across multiple regions globally, with a strong focus on delivering value through self-service.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of rules, their interpretations, and assumptions around regulatory requirements in Transaction & Position Reporting (CFTC, EMIR, ASIC, MAS etc.)

  • Direct interaction with OSTTRA clients globally to resolve Reporting errors or exceptions.

  • Work closely with internal and external counterparts to maintain the quality of the data being sent to regulators so minimize the rejections.

  • Ensure input of accurate client static data / profile configurations.

  • Assist clients with clearing of OTC derivative trades for CCP’s like CME, LCH, ICE etc.

  • Monitor client queries, investigate and troubleshoot errors and work with internal groups to provide resolution.

  • Engage with stakeholders about regulatory changes and analyze their impact on Transaction and position reporting.

  • Investigate root cause in the reporting flow using internal applications and ensure non-repeat of errors.

  • Facilitate UAT for the clients.

  • Respond to client requests by providing detailed analysis and feedback.

  • Identify areas for process improvement / efficiency, and drive process enhancements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must have relevant experience between 8 - 12 years in Transaction and Position reporting.

  • Must have transaction reporting experience under at least one of the regulations such as MIFID, EMIR, ASIC, HKMA, JFSA etc.

  • Must have Knowledge of OTC derivative products, Trade confirmations, and financial markets is a major plus.

  • Previous experience working with software systems and technology is preferable.

  • Very strong customer service and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with client orientation.

  • Focused on Operational Control and Data Security

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Customer service and satisfaction are key priorities for the firm. Candidates must be aware of the impact of their actions on internal and external clients.

  • Flexibility working in shifts.
