Job Description

Performance Testing COE is seeking an experienced ‘Performance Test Engineer’ to join our India team. The candidate must have good understanding using performance testing methods on cloud based applications. This position requires a resource with excellent communication skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as experience with Performance Testing frameworks. The best candidates witll show an ability to create Performance Testing frameworks and script blueprints with best practices implemented that can be shared across the teams. Demonstratable knowledge of SQL, JMeter, DB Profiling tools is expected.

Duties & Accountabilities

  • Leverages passion for software quality and delivery to motivate others

  • Bring Performance Testing expertise to teams across Software Solutions

  • Work directly with Product Development teams to implement test frameworks and pipelines

  • Illustrate best practices for test writing and documentation

  • Determine performance requirements, baselines, and measure trends

  • Provide transparent progress updates and documentation through strong communication skills

Additional Job Description

  • Experience and understanding of the performance test suites and performance testing lifecycle

  • Good knowledge of 3 tier Application and its performance & monitoring measures

  • Knowledge of monitoring, profiling and tuning tools e.g. New Relic, J-probe, SQL Power Tools, SQL profiler, TOAD, Prometheus and Grafana

  • Knowledge of containers and microservice API Testing

  • Able to accurately analyze performance test results and present analysis in both technical and business language

Education and experience

  • 2-4 years’ experience as Quality Engineer in Performance Testing

  • Platform Experience: Azure DevOps, Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Performance Tools: JMeter, Blazemeter

  • Development: JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, REST, YAML

  • Tools: ADO, Octopus, Postman, VSCode, GIT, Web Services, Containers

  • Degree in CS

  • They must show knowledge of software development techniques: SaaS, Microservices, SDLC, STLC, DevOps, QAOps, Agile, Scrum, Kanban

  • Be prepared to discuss the 6 forms of Performance Testing: Load, Stress, Endurance, Spike, Volume, and Scalability

Key Soft Skills

  • Passionate about test automation and technologies

  • Adaptive to new teams, technologies, and projects

  • Asks questions, challenges the status quo

  • Ability to influence Development and Product counterparts to drive quality

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
