Software Engineer II

The Location:

Halifax, NS

The Team:

The team is responsible for event driven calculations based on streaming pricing data coming from various exchanges. The data is displayed on the company s product.

The Impact:

The data will help drive investment decisions for our customers using our MI platform s dashboard.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop windows applications with C# .NET framework

  • Develop web services with C# .NET framework

  • Support all the applications developed by the team

  • Participate in design meetings and give feedback and opinions on the designs

  • Participate and be active in a SCRUM team

What We re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in an engineering field

  • Ability to communicate well over Skype (the team is mostly based in NY)

  • 2-5 years server side application development

    • 2-5 years with .NET - C#

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years working with Webservices

  • 2-5 years working with windows services

  • SQL knowledge

  • No SQL databases (Cassandra, elastic search)

  • Working in an Agile Team
