About the Role: Technology Product Manager/Agile Coach

The Team:

The Digital Technology Services (DTS) Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is a part of the Digital Solutions corporate function. The PMO’s mission is to define and apply a standardized and proven portfolio management framework, processes, and tools to ensure due diligence in work selection, peer review, prioritization, and approval, to help DTS achieve its strategic objectives.

Responsibilities and Impact:

The Portfolio Management and Agile Transformation team works with DTS to manage, operate, and improve the DTS portfolio management process and lead the Project to Product transformation for DTS, while supporting all S&P Global divisions and functions on the efficient execution of their strategy and continuous delivery of value through best-in-class Agile, Portfolio Management, and Product Delivery tools. Specifically, as part of the Project to Product transformation and maturing our Agile Product Delivery, this individual will drive business agility by coaching Product Managers to articulate product strategy, set objectives and key results, define roadmaps and work with the cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class solutions. It includes, but is not limited to, these core aspects of Product Management:

  • Product Strategy: Work closely with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to define product strategy and OKRs that drive Product Usage and adoption over short, medium, and long terms; balancing various business/stakeholder needs.

  • Data-driven decision making: Leverage data and analytics to make informed decisions, monitor product performance and continuously improve product to improve KPIs.

  • Impact and Execution: Drive a cross functional team of Engineers, designers, ML scientists and business stakeholders.

  • Customer-Centric Approach: Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and feedback through user research, surveys, and feedback loops, and incorporate this insight into product enhancements. This includes external members as well as internal team stakeholders.

  • Product Development: Scope and lead the development of new product features that will increase the value to our customers.

  • Risk Management: Work closely with compliance and risk management teams to ensure products adhere to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

  • Financial Planning: Develop and manage product budgets, forecasts, and financial models to optimize resource allocation and track financial performance.

  • Communication: Effectively communicate product updates, priorities, and progress to internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and external partners.

  • Be a change agent: Foster a product mindset and maximize efficiencies and performance from Lean-Agile principles, values, and practices; Lead Communities of Practice (CoPs) and develop/deliver hands-on training and coaching of defined Agile practices.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with managing and executing GTMs for end-to-end Product Development Life Cycle including, creating and executing Product Strategy, Data Driven Decision Making, Product Development, Risk Management, Financial Planning, Marketing Campaigns and Communication for Internal Products

  • Customer Centric: You are passionate about improving Customer Experience and Satisfaction and delivering maximum value to customers.

  • Analytical problem solver: You have experience working and delivering on complex problems. You excel in making data-informed decisions (testing and experimentation, defining metrics, data analysis).

  • Collaborative: You have a track record of shipping and iterating on impactful products that required partnering with and building consensus across a wide group of cross-functional partners.

  • Execution: You’re scrappy, solution-oriented, and able to help the team push through obstacles and blockers to deliver value for our members.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Technology, or Operations. Product Management certification(s) preferred (e.g., SAFe POPM, SAFe APM, etc.).

  • Total 8+ years of experience with Strong track record: 5+ years of product management experience for internal Products in high-growth environments, with experience in the Agile/SAFe framework highly preferred.

  • Domain knowledge is a big plus: Knowledge of various Agile and engineering processes and methods (Infrastructure, Operations, Software Engineering), can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/Enterprise.

  • Excellent communicator: You are a clear and concise communicator, and you have superb interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to manage and influence people in a matrixed environment.
