The Team: Coverage Desk Team is a part of Data Management Solutions which supports Pre Sale opportunities for Xpressfeed & API. The Team is responsible for providing the Coverage Stats and sample data reports on the requested data sets available on Xpressfeed through complex SQL queries and views to the Sales Representatives and the Product Management directly. The team supports the API Team with the data queries from their clients and ODS Plugin Support; the team also works on the GDS Support Client queries and Support Centre document updating.

The Impact: As a part of Coverage Desk Team, the candidate would ensure strong understanding of all the available data sets (ex: Fundamental, Estimates, Ownership, SNL data, Pricing and Market data, reference data, Ratings, analytical, measures & Alternative data) that SPGMI offers through the feeds. In addition, experience to work closely with Sales representatives located at various locations and the respective content teams in case of any data escalations.

  • Broad Knowledge on all data sets, packages available on Xpressfeed

  • Knowledge on Cross Reference Services(GICRS,BECRS,ISCRS) that S&P Market Intelligence offers exclusively through Xpressfeed

  • Knowledge on Desktop tools like various Excel plug-ins and platforms

  • Working closely with and developing relationship with Sales Reps to optimize our client base.

  • Developing SQL skills by creating Views and stored procedures.

  • Working on special projects on building Xpressfeed data coverage stats for the Commercial teams to use.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating and working closely with Product Management and communicating coverage with Sales Rep across locations in a timely manner.

  • Writing high-quality SQL code to match the desired query from the Sales Rep.

  • Identifying, understanding and suggesting the appropriate Xpressfeed packages to the prospect depending on the needs.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional content teams in case of requirement

  • Addressing the ODS and GDS plugin client issues and concerns in a timely fashion to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge.

  • Automating and integrating the current processes

What we’re looking for:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Any Bachelors/Masters’ degree specialized in Finance/Accountancy.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience is required.

  • Good knowledge on overall SPGMI Content Sets like Financials,

  • Estimates, Ownership, Key developments, relationships data, Ratings etc.

  • Must have knowledge on various data delivery products like S&P Global Market Intelligence platforms, plug-ins and feeds.

  • Experience in writing SQL queries, good knowledge on MS Excel.

  • Should possess effective oral and written communication skills, research skills, presentation skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

  • Detailed analytical abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills

  • Great attention to detail and time-management skills.

  • The selected candidate should be flexible to work any shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sound knowledge on overall SPGMI Content Sets and analytical skills to play with the raw data to serve the best for our prospects and clients.

  • Possessing good technical skills in writing SQL queries and advanced MS Excel functions. Thorough knowledge on Excel plug-in and SPGMI platforms.

  • Excellent Communication skills

  • Experience with data querying languages

  • Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Data Researcher III to Team Leaders ( or equivalent ) can apply if employee has completed 12 months in present designation & division.
