The Role: Senior Software Developer

Team : S&P Global Marketplace technology team consists of geographically diversified software engineers responsible to develop scalable solutions by working directly with product development team. The Impact : As a member of the marketplace Team, you will be responsible for analysis, design, architecture, development and support of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise with cutting edge technologies and a desire to drive change through all alignment across the enterprise. The role requires the candidate to mentor and coach developers on Agile teams and also be a hands-on problem solver and developer helping to extend and manage the platforms. You will be an expert contributor and part of the S&P Market Intelligence DMS & Marketplace team.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on position requiring strong analytical, architecture, development and debugging skills that includes both development and operations.

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)

  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs

  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

  • Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components using react concepts.

  • Writing application interface codes using JavaScript following react.js workflows.

  • Monitoring and improving front-end performance.

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Collaborate with team members across the globe.

  • Be a self-starter that is also an excellent team player.

  • Follow agile best practices. Experienced in working with global teams.

  • Focus on building a team culture that is based on trust. Inspire your team member so that they focus on continuous growth

What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of significant experience in application development.

  • Developing and implementing front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.

  • Previous experience working as a react.js developer.

  • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.

  • Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.

  • Experience with user interface design.

  • Mentor teams, innovate and experiment, give face to business ideas and present to key stakeholders

  • Expert knowledge of Agile approaches to software development and able to put key Agile principles into practice to deliver solutions incrementally.

  • Experience working with cross functional teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Build React based UI applications.

  • Understanding of cyber security and developing UI that adheres to security protocols .

  • Understanding of ADA and mobile UI development

  • Develop UI application that can integrate with backend RESTful APIs

  • Understanding of OKTA and basic authorization and authentication process.

  • Familiarity with ADO pipelines a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • React based UI development, JavaScript , front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc , RESTful APIs, OKTA , token based authorization and authentication
