The Team:

Join our dynamic team at the OCTO Office of the CTO for Market Intelligence , where we spearhead business operations and drive strategic engagements and vendor strategy. As part of a large organization with over 6000 members, our team is at the forefront of business enablement, leveraging diverse skill sets across multiple teams. We innovate daily using various cloud technologies, and this role is crucial for accurately tracking cloud forecast, spend and budget management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for cloud cost management and optimization.

  • Monitor and govern cloud spend across different departments and projects.

  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to forecast cloud budgets and track actual spend against them.

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulatory requirements related to cloud spend.

  • Analyze cloud usage and spend data to identify trends and make recommendations for cost savings.

  • Manage cloud financial operations, including billing, cost allocation, and chargeback processes.

  • Provide expertise and guidance on cloud financial management best practices.

  • Work in UK Business Hours to have sufficient overlap with UK and US based Teams

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field, with a focus on IT or cloud services.

  • 4-6 years proven experience in financial operations, specifically in cloud spend management and governance.

  • Strong understanding of cloud services, pricing models, and cost optimization techniques.

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data related to cloud services.

  • Proficiency in cloud financial management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
