S&P Global Infrastructure Engineer in Islamabad, Pakistan

Infrastructure Engineer

The Location:

Islamabad, or Ahmedabad, Acropolis Office

The Impact:

As a key member of Infrastructure Engineer team, you are responsible for implementing, configuring and supporting a multi-site, high-demand platform. Made up of applications and systems related to server software, server security, applications, websites, databases, data warehousing, and business intelligence. Provides effective resolution and systematic improvements for complex issues affecting the platform systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Domain expert or the following technologies:*

    server, databases, data connectivity, web servers and sites, scripting, and security.

    • Serves as a partner concern resource for resolution of most important issues as requested by system administrator, network engineers, and or other systems managers.

    • Responsible for designing and implementing systematic solutions that give to increased efficiency, capacity, performance, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery of the platform.

    • Administration on Software Solutions projects and coordinating efforts with other Systems Administrators and Network Engineers to support the platform.

    • Performs upgrades related to most important applications.

    • Maintains and updates documentation as needed.

What We re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or other related field or equivalent education and experience.

  • experience with administration of a Microsoft Windows environment, SQL Server, IIS. Good knowledge of network security concepts. Intermediate to advanced proficiency utilizing MS Office products.

  • Three to six years of dynamically responsible information services experience. Validated effective leadership skills. Previous project management experience desirable

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SQL Analysis Services, Load Balancing, Active Directory, Information Security, HyperV, VMWare, SSO, PGP, SFTP, ODBC, Disaster Recovery, Backups, Performance Tuning, XML, powershell. Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, SaaS, HAProxy & Linux.

  • Excellent logic and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to think creatively and effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members.

  • Strong organizational skills required to prioritize work and meet established deadlines. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure documentation.

  • Ought to be self-directed and rely on judgment to plan and accomplish good interpersonal personal skills required.

  • Should possess strong problem analysis and decision-making ability.

  • Demonstrable ability to implement quality improvement methodologies to improve business functions continuously.

  • Proven aptitude for learning new technologies.
