The Role: An exciting opportunity for two Analytics Sales Associatesto join our EMEA Analytics Sales team , as a result of internal promotion and expansion. The individual will be working along-side senior sales experts as part of a team delivering double digit YoY growth with an accelerated expansion plan for 2021.
The individual will be aligned with one or two senior analytics sales, working in close collaboration to retain and grow the analytics business, predominately focused on a targeted list of Platts customers who will be migrating to Platts new Customer Service Model and be introduced to our wealth of analytics solutions.
The Impact: The analytics associate role has been introduced in 2020 as an accelerated development role, for high-potential individuals, upon completion of the Platts commercial graduate program. As a result of the great impact of the role, we are now looking to expand.
About you: The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine interest and ability to learn how Platts Analytics can add value to client workflows. Committed in developing a career in sales, the analytics associate should also be able to develop deep commodity expertise and be willing to work with multiple stakeholders. The Analytics Associate is highly proactive, organized and effective on executing against defined account and business development processes, working alongside the senior analytics sales.
Perform against defined metrics of client retention (subscription usage) and new business growth (number of opportunities) through:
Research, pre-qualify and engage with prospects developing a hypothesis about their needs and an insight-led approach of engagement.
Discover sales opportunities acquiring information about client structure, personas, key objectives and organize diagnostic calls for senior analytics sales. Support throughout sales cycle with follow up actions and engagements
Onboard clients, review accounts and drive subscription usage through close monitoring of utilization statistics, account planning and client engagements.
Document on salesforce CRM meeting notes, capture and execute on next steps of client interactions
Assume entire analytics account management responsibility wherever required
Participate in ad –hoc projects to support team objectives and promote the Platts brand
This is a collaborative team selling role in which the Analytics Sales Associate will be aligned with a senior analytics sales, partner with a number of Commercial Managers and other members of account team
Proactiveness and Influencing skills are essential not only with customers but also internally, to coordinate senior colleagues on account plan
Learning agility on a combination of commercial (diagnostic-selling) and commodity expertise is required to develop and perform in this role
Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience in sales and/or energy and commodities space
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Proven presentation skills
Must have strong organizational skills and display time strong management skills
Strategic and analytical mind set with strong interpersonal skills
