Senior Data Researcher, Data Content Management (Corps)
The senior data researcher is responsible for both operational and project related tasks at a fortune 500 company. We source, extract, and transform financial data for high volume transactions following detailed instructions and predefined procedures. Responsible for data collection and management for the Latin American Region which includes Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico, particularly for the Corporates domain. This data is critical for enabling our analytical processes ensuring data is validated and error free. Partners with Analytical teams to identify opportunities for automation projects. Requires data querying, consolidation and analysis to leverage technology to enhance existing processes to modernize and extend the capabilities of applications and the team.
The S&P Global Ratings Data and Content Management team is a new team tasked with unlocking data & delivering content to our analysts and customers. The team acts as the main point of engagement with our customers on projects, including analytical partners, to discover and drive new and enhanced content creation through definitions, lineage, mapping, readiness, and inventory. The team ensures availability of content and its end-to-end completeness and quality for both internal and external use, according to our governance standards, enabling customers to make fast, informed decisions. The team sits within our Operating Office, as part of the broader Data & Content team, and works in close partnership with many teams throughout the Ratings organization (including strategic operations, technology, analytical, commercial, etc.) and cross-divisionally with CRISIL and Market Intelligence.
This role has a core impact to our stakeholders, including analytic leadership in our Latin American region. The role has high visibility within senior management, analytical and operational groups. You will be a data master who is also a great problem solver. Someone interested breaking down a process and rebuilding it using technology and automation.

Work closely with analytical team to understand financial adjustments and deliver timely data
Source financial statements and manually spread quarterly and annual financial data to standardize for analytical purposing
Gain in depth understanding of operational processes to automate and modernize through RPA, python, or other technical solutions
- Work with business stakeholders, data visualization and reporting specialists and - or data scientists to determine analytic data consumption mechanisms;
Perform tasks supporting the review and translation of business requirements; determining data and information needs; reviewing data collection methods;
What We re Looking For:
English, Spanish and - or Portuguese (read - write) knowledge
Knowledge of the financial markets and experience with financial data; interest in understanding Corporate finance
Database knowledge and advanced Excel;
Ability to analyze and solve moderately complex problems in operational processes and implements strategies that optimize data efficiency and quality
Ability to prioritize in high volume situations and escalate problems when necessary
Works well independently to drive process improvements
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience
Experience with SQL, Python, or R is a plus
Experience with RPA
Data technical skills a significant plus (e.g. data querying, data analysis)
Agile or Project Management experience
