The Data Management Solutions Product Management team focuses on defining, managing and supporting data, analytics and workflow solutions for traditional and alternative data delivered through our API and Bulk Delivery. This team collaborates cross-segments through product innovation and usability.

You will develop partnerships and see them through to contracting and onboarding
You will work closely with a cross-functional team to execute on operationalizing new datasets for our clients
You are part of the team responsible for the successful development of alternative data partnerships and products that consistently delivers and innovates by addressing critical client needs -- ultimately driving revenue by, displacing competitors, penetrating new markets, or selling to new client segments. Your responsibilities will include:
Build a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully contract and on-board various data sets
Serve as the primary point of contact at SPGI to 3rd party data vendors
Data scout and qualify alternative data vendors
Lead contracting and partnership process with alternative data vendors
Lead cross-functional execution teams for onboarding new datasets once contracting is complete
Provide clear transparency to our stakeholders and management as it relates to project status
Ensure effective communication across org through check-in meetings, update emails and other communication to foster collaboration
Establish and manage repository of alternative data prospects
6-10 years of business development or project management experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Understanding of API and Bulk Delivery business
Ability to manage resources without direct line authority
Ability to work independently and deal with ambiguity
Ability to work with all levels of the organization
Technical data expertise
Creative thinking and flexibility - ability to multi-task and handle pressure in a dynamic environment
High level of personal credibility, customer relationship, networking and interpersonal skills
Ability to find strategic partnerships that have led to increase revenue and contracts
Ability to negotiate
