The Role:

The HR Specialist role supports the Global Head of People Analytics to develop processes & systems that drive strategic business objectives for reporting and analytics. The Specialist will work directly with the team to deliver & design data dashboards and priority analytics and analyses that will influence the HR agenda. The position would require presenting to HR peers, Business managers, and others by sharing insights and from key analyses, leading trainings on data dashboards to support talent, diversity, recruitment and workforce planning and building connections and a partnership across other data and analytics teams across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Generating and communicating HR data and analysis to the Global Head of People Analytics, HRBPs and managers on key workforce metrics in order to ensure appropriate workforce planning and talent utilization for the S&P Global.

  • Providing administrative support for the Global Head of People Analytics, including calendar and meeting planning and records maintenance.

  • Working across the Corporate HR team to help drive People Analytics with Employees and Managers, including Performance, Development, People Planning, & Compensation. Activities include (but are not limited to) reporting, employee and manager communications, scheduling of calibration and training sessions, and developing overall project plans.

  • Collaborating with the Global Talent, Diversity & Inclusion & Talent Acquisition to provide data analysis on all talent initiatives, including training on dashboards.

  • Partnering with HRBPs on the talent agendas and initiatives established for the corporate functions, working with managers to input relevant data in our HR systems.

    • Supporting Line Manager and - or I&A team with additional activities as warranted by business needs

EssentialAccountabilities:

  • Design and develop key learning metrics and dashboard reporting capability, which includes predictive analytics.

  • Work collaboratively with S&P Global Insights and Analytics team to integrate various learning databases into the HR data warehouse, ensure consistent processes, share best practices, and optimize resource utilization.

  • Develop data-based feedback loops to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

  • Maintain external data science networks to stay abreast of the market, key challenges, and trends.

  • Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis.

  • Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers.

  • Act as the data subject matter expert for Insights & Analytics, providing recommendations and insight into what data would need to be gathered, aggregated and reported to yield insightful analytics that tell a story to support the objectives of the initiative.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • At least**1 years relevant work experience

    • Education Preferred:*

    Major in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and Economics

    • Technical Skills Preferred:*

    Analytical and reporting capabilities (Microsoft Office Suite:*

    Excel and PowerPoint, SPSS, Tableau); Probability and Statistics, Data Mining, Calculus I-IV, , Data Structures, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations

    • Programming Skills:*

    I.e. Python programming, R programming & C programming

  • Experience navigating HR Data systems (Workday, PeopleFluent, Visier)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail

  • Time management and organizational skills
