About the Role:

The Team: Entity Management – We integrate, maintain and manage Entities Cross Reference Identifiers at Entity level and de-dupe entities to support collection across MI while also supporting Risk Management Product Framework. The Team builds on and provides an integrated view of Entities and their relationships. The Team provides structural and content support for standardized coexistence of 3rd Party data alongside in-house S&P GMI Data, certain Corporate Services (MDM) and products like GICRS, BECRS, XpressFeed, MI etc.

This position is an excellent playground to understand and implement your ideas around Industry dynamism using technology and Data Science

Learning about various market driving factors like Credit Ratings, Financials, Credit Default Swaps, Broker Research Reports, Private Capital Markets, Issuer Solutions etc.

Responsibilities and Impact:

Data is sourced from approx. 1k Sources/Vendors and hence it becomes imperative to collect, analyze and ingest data within communicated SLAs and with best of quality.

Data ingested via different workflows has direct impact on downstream collection process and front-end information being utilized by Clients in decision making.

Products like MI, CapitalIQ, Xpressfeed and BECRS, Issuer Solutions and Private Capital Market Clients are fed by data ingested by researchers and hence very critical to maintain the robustness in cross-referencing data in and across the platforms

Data Specialist will join the Entity Management group in the Reference Data team. The individual’s Key responsibilities includes but are not limited to:

  • Understand the working of the dataset, processes, workflow and pipelines developed for Entity Management domain and must be able to execute project using the latest knowhow of Reference Data existing pipelines

  • Take responsibility of multiple project/initiative and provide solution based on Reference data existing workflow, processes, databases

  • The candidate is expected to liaise heavily with other Content, Product Stakeholders, Technology, Automation Specialists, Data Operations teams and customers

  • Ideate and execute Process improvement and Automation project

  • Brainstorm and implement ideas on minimizing operative ineffectiveness tactically and strategically using data science

  • Understand existing content group dynamic and think progressively on innovating ideas that improves scalability and maintenance

  • Adapt to new process and technologies based on project requirements

  • Lead a team of stewards and manage their work and professional goals.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $68,093.00 to $119,473.25. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Post Graduate Degree preferably in Engineering/Math/Finance

  • 5-7 Years of Experience

  • Must have worked on Agile / SaFe methodologies as Analyst/Scrum Master/Business Analyst for at least 2 years

  • Working knowledge on Data Governance, Data Strategy execution, Company Mastering and related workflow

  • Hands on experience in developing and executing complex SQL Queries is a must

  • Working knowledge of Postgre, Databricks and relevant Data Mining tools is needed

  • Candidate having concepts of Data Science and knowledge on Python is desirable

  • Working knowledge of API, Microservices is desired

  • Good Written and Verbal Communication is must

  • Analytical mindset and strong in logical reasoning

  • An inquisitive and investigative nature.

  • A Positive attitude, strong interest in research, flair for writing and an eye for detail.

  • Comfortable to work in rotational shifts, night shift and flexible hours

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in SQL, Data Bricks, PostGre

  • SaFe/Agile or POPM or Scrum Certification
