The Role

An exciting opportunity for an Analytics Associate role has opened in the APAC Analytics Sales team. This individual will be working along-side Commodity Specialists as part of APAC Analytics sales team delivering YoY growth including the successful deployment of our Commodity Service Module (CSM) at our clients.

The individual will be aligned with 1 or 2 Commodity specialists, working in close collaboration to retain and grow the analytics/Insights business, predominately focused on a targeted list of Platts customers who will be migrating to Platts new CSM model and focused on those users new to Market Insights.

The Analytics Associate key responsibility will be to coordinate and organise analyst engagements with our Analytics/Insight clients and provide onboardings to new users, working alongside the Commodity specialists, client account managers and other Platts stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine interest and ability to learn how Platts Analytics and Insights can add value to client workflows. Committed in developing a career in sales, the analytics associate should be able to develop deep commodity expertise and be willing to work with multiple internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities: perform against defined metrics of client retention (subscription usage):

  • Onboard clients, review accounts and drive subscription usage through close monitoring of usage statistics, account planning and client engagements.

  • Ensure comprehensive support for all CSM clients during trials and during the critical post-sale period.

  • Document in salesforce CRM. This applies for all meeting notes and client interactions.

  • Participate in ad–hoc projects to support team objectives and promote the Platts brand

  • Discover cross selling opportunities acquiring information about client structure, personas, key objectives and organize diagnostic calls for Commodity specialists. Support throughout sales cycle with follow up actions and engagements.

Role Requirements

  • This is a collaborative team role in which the Analytics Sales Associate will be aligned with few Commodity specialists, partner with a number of Commercial Managers and other members of account team eg CDM and Client trainers etc.

  • Proactiveness and Influencing skills are essential not only with customers but also internally, to coordinate engagements with Analysts and Commodity Specialists.

  • Learning agility – this role combines commercial (diagnostic-selling) and commodity expertise which are equally essential to success in the role.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or 1-3 years of equivalent work experience.

• Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

• Strong presentation skills

• Must have strong organizational skills and display strong time management skills

• Strategic and analytical mind set with strong interpersonal skills

• Highly proficient in MS Office and using CRM (Salesforce) systems
