The Team : The Data Management Solutions Product Management team focuses on defining, managing and supporting data, analytics and workflow solutions for traditional and alternative data delivered through our API and Bulk Delivery. This team collaborates cross-segments through product innovation and usability.
The Impact : Reporting to the Head of Marketplace Platforms, you will play a key role in the buildout of a new digital storefront for all of our data sets products. You will work alongside S&P Global Technology, Commercial, Content and Operation teams to define executable business requirements that are aligned with Clients needs as well as the broader S&P Global strategy and goals.

You will work closely with our user experience, development, and quality assurance teams to deliver this brand new platform to the market
You are part of the team responsible for the successful development of a Sandbox/Analytics Studio that consistently delivers, simplifies, and innovates by addressing critical client needs --- ultimately driving revenue by, displacing competitors, penetrating new markets, or selling to new client segments. Your responsibilities will include:
Lead the roadmap and product development for data sandbox
Facilitate and develop the pre-built notebook creation highlight value of datasets for the sandbox by partnering with content owners and dataset owners across divisions and functions throughout S&P Global
Lead team of 1-2 acting as a player/coach role to help develop notebooks, visualizations and other analytics to help with overall product KPIs
Assisting our go-to-market teams for product rollout/launch
Championing the sandbox product both internally and externally
Work with clients and commercial teams to ensure client success
Define product specifications and serve as product owner on various scrum teams to develop high profile, high impact deliverables for our data sandbox/analytics studio
Develop and prioritize backlog and user stories
Understand and remain informed on alternative data and Data as a Service trends and use cases across various client segments
Data science experience or strong knowledge of data science workflows
Strong experience with SQL and either Python or R
Experience or high level knowledge of Tableau or other BI/Visualization tools
Uses conceptual and innovative thinking (i.e., identifying unique solutions) with guidance from more senior colleagues, to solve issues.
Ability to mitigate risk by looking beyond the immediate need/problem to the wider implications and designing solutions accordingly.
Strong communicator, able to clearly explain and document business requirements, interact with technology teams, internal business groups and external clients.
Comfortable with public speaking and facilitating meetings.
History of working well in a group setting and proven ability to deliver results.
5-8 years of experience in Product Management, Product Innovation B2B (business to business) or B2C (business to consumer) products or companies
