About the role

The Team:

You will be part of the Kingdom client service team of S&P Global Commodities Insights. This is a client facing role that helps clients with geoscience workflows, troubleshooting project database issues, and assisting with licensing issues on the Kingdom software application, through phone calls, emails, and other collaboration tools. We use our expertise to demonstrate the value of our products and market intelligence using integrated workflows.

Responsibilities and Impact:

This Client Services Specialist will provide customer support for S&P Global products, specifically Kingdom and GeoSyn via phone and email inquiries. The specialist will demonstrate the value of these products in collaboration with our data and information. He/she will work with product management and sustaining engineers to develop processes or product enhancements to address client needs:

  • Maintain a high level of client care for S&P Global clients.

  • Troubleshoot client issues to determine root cause and provide a reasonable resolution.

  • Explain complex workflows in a straightforward and organized manner.

  • Provide detailed information for “critical” issues to escalation teams.

  • Submit enhancement requests on the client’s behalf if the desired functionality does not currently exist in the software.

  • Maintain healthy relationships with sustaining engineers, product management, and development.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $72,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geophysics or an equivalent technology/earth science degree or related experience.

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking, and internet functionality required.

  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues.

  • ​Experience with Kingdom or another geophysical interpretation software.

  • Experience using or managing databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational database).

  • Experience with TIBCO Spotfire software.

  • Experience with Interactive Petrophysics software.

  • Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc.).

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Kingdom or another geophysical modeling software.

  • Experience using or managing databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational database).

  • Experience with TIBCO Spotfire software.

  • Experience with Interactive Petrophysics software.

  • Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc.).
